Job Title : Avionics Certification Engineer

Location : Irvine, CA (Onsite only)

Duration : Full Time

Job Description:

Develop and maintain Flammability Test Plans, Structural Test Plans, and Qualification Plans in accordance with FAA, EASA, and OEM requirements.

Establish qualification basis for new LRUs, ensuring compliance with aerospace regulations.

Interface with regulatory agencies (FAA, EASA) and OEM representatives to obtain plan and procedure approvals.

Provide technical justifications and compliance arguments during certification reviews.

Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, EMI, and materials engineering teams to ensure product compliance.

Support documentation preparation and reviews to maintain technical accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

10 15 years experience in aerospace certification, with demonstrated interaction with FAA/EASA.

Strong knowledge of RTCA DO-160, DO254 , FAR/CS 25, OEM specifications (Boeing, Airbus), and aerospace material compliance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for regulatory discussions.

Tools & Methods Experience (Industry Standard):

CAD/PDM: Siemens NX (MCAD), Siemens Xpedition (ECAD), Teamcenter PDM.

Analysis: ANSYS Mechanical/Thermal, Siemens HyperLynx Schematic Analysis (Valydate).

Documentation & Collaboration: Converix, DOORS, Polarion, Confluence, SharePoint, Jira.

Regulatory Standards Access: IHS Markit
