The AstraZeneca Newark Supply Site in Newark, DE, was established in 1971 and currently employs approximately 260 people. Over the course of these years, Newark has undergone many product portfolio changes since it first began as Stuart Pharmaceuticals through today as the designated AZ North America Packaging Center of Excellence and a Flexible Formulation site for the global supply of complex products. Accountabilities:

At the Newark Supply Site, we are proud to be a fixture in the Delaware community for over 50 years. As an Automation & Controls Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the effective operation of the Site's operations and the facility-related control systems and instruments. You will provide technical support to the Packaging, Manufacturing, and Facilities Maintenance teams and collaborate with engineers, operators, and area leaders to deliver a variety of problem-solving efforts, continuous improvements, and capital projects.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

- Minimum three (3) years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience

- Must be able to work or be on-call as needed during other/off shifts and weekends when facility, production, or equipment maintenance coverage is needed.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- State accredited Journeyman

- Associate degree in a technical subject area, completion of a technical school program, or equivalent formal technical education.

- Demonstrated understanding and operational familiarity with software and PLC/HMI systems.

- Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical cGMP maintenance practices

- Detailed familiarity with the analysis and repair of electrical/electronic control systems.

- Working knowledge of pneumatic systems.
