About the Role

We are seeking a senior-level Data Center Consultant (SME) to serve as a trusted advisor in the design, operation, and optimization of mission-critical data centers across the U.S.
This role requires deep expertise in facility management, Building Management Systems (BMS), and Building Automation Systems (BAS) to drive performance, uptime, and sustainability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on operational excellence in power, cooling, and space utilization for large data centers.

  • Conduct operational audits and recommend strategies for reliability and energy efficiency.

  • Design and integrate BMS/BAS systems for real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance.

  • Lead risk assessments, DR planning, and compliance reviews per Uptime/TIA-942 standards.

  • Drive modernization, expansion, and sustainability programs.

  • Collaborate with leadership to align infrastructure strategy with business goals.


Requirements

  • 15+ years of data center management, operations, or consulting experience.

  • Proven track record in BMS/BAS implementation and optimization.

  • Deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.

  • Familiarity with Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, TIA-942, or equivalent standards.

  • Strong client-facing and executive consulting communication skills.


Preferred

  • Certifications such as CDCP, DCD, or equivalent.

  • Exposure to hyperscale or colocation data centers.
