Our client has an urgent hiring need for a highly experienced and skilled Cloud Engineering Manager with a focus on Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and other cloud platforms to join our team and ensure the resiliency, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be an Azure expert - applications, network systems, etc.
As the Cloud Engineering Manager you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and overseeing our cloud infrastructure and ensuring its seamless operation. You will be responsible for managing a team of experts, defining and implementing cloud infrastructure strategies, and ensuring compliance with best practices and security standards.

Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
- Terraform is required as a lot of it is used here.
- Must be familiar with cloud deployment models-public and private.
- Must have proficiency in core Azure Services such as Azure Virtual Machines (not too much VM work, but need to have knowledge), Azure Storage-Azure Networking and Azure AD--overall knowledge about how to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Azure Security-knowledge of VPN, Firewall, Network
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices-including CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps-important for streamlining software releases and infrastructure changes.
- Understanding Azure Monitor and how to use to monitor
- SharePoint / Office 365
Preferred Skills:
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and administrators.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Cloud Engineering Management:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-based services within the Microsoft Azure platform, Microsoft Office 365 suite, and other cloud platforms.
- Oversee the provisioning, configuration, and optimization of Azure resources.
- Monitor system performance, availability, security, and costs.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and stakeholders to understand business requirements for new and existing Azure/Office 365 services and other cloud solutions.
- Implement Azure/Office 365 and other cloud platform automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
- Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline Azure resource management and deployment.
- Embrace Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to maintain infrastructure configurations.
- Act as a liaison with Microsoft, other cloud providers, and third-party vendors.
- Create, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans related to Azure, Office 365, and other cloud services.
- Lead the development of fully automated provisioning, management, scalability, and security
- Lead Azure cloud strategy roadmap for cloud reliability and recommend best practices for operations
- Lead organization in IaC modules contribution by developing new modules and maintaining existing modules
- Design and implement Azure, Office 365, and other cloud platform governance, compliance, data protection, and cost management strategies.
- Design and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to meet regulatory and compliance requirements for Azure and Office 365.
- Regularly conduct security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews for cloud and Office 365 platforms.
- Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of security-focused tools and services.
- Work closely with IT security team to manage and respond to security incidents in Azure, Office 365, and other cloud platforms.
- Ensure Azure resources are configured securely and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Implement and manage identity and access controls, encryption, and network security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address business needs.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and security diagrams for Azure and Office 365.
- Provide regular updates and reports on infrastructure performance and projects.

- Architects, vendors, or team members are managed successfully.
