Job Details

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building and maintaining robust data pipelines, transforming data for reporting and analytics, and ensuring high-quality data delivery to stakeholders. You will work closely with business analysts, report developers, and other engineers to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI
  • Write complex T-SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Develop and orchestrate data workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across multiple environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, resolving issues as they arise
  • Support data warehousing and analytics initiatives

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience with SQL Server (2016 or newer)
  • Hands-on expertise with SSIS, SSRS, and ADF
  • Advanced T-SQL skills for querying, performance tuning, and stored procedures
  • Experience developing and publishing reports and dashboards in Power BI
  • Solid understanding of relational database principles and ETL best practices

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Python or PySpark for data transformation and automation
  • Prior experience working in Healthcare data environments or with HIPAA-compliant systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
