Job Title: Engineer Support & Development
Location: Remote
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Engineer Support & Developer who will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and developing automation or code fixes to improve system reliability and customer experience. The role blends software development and production support, requiring a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of modern technologies and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for applications and production systems.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
- Develop automation scripts, tools, or code fixes to eliminate recurring issues.
- Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and QA teams to identify root causes and long-term solutions.
- Monitor application performance, logs, and alerts using observability tools.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment scripts.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical support and incident management.
- Document technical procedures, root cause analyses, and process improvements.
- Suggest and implement improvements for better system performance and reliability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in application support and development roles.
- Strong knowledge of Python / Java / Node.js or similar programming languages.
- Experience with SQL, API debugging, and Linux-based environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Understanding of incident management, root cause analysis, and service reliability.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Exposure to SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) concepts.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks or scripting for support tasks.
- Familiarity with Agile and ITIL methodologies.
