Application Manager, E-Commerce - Technical Hands-on role

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Application Manager to lead the management, performance, and continuous improvement of our enterprise applications. This individual will play a critical role in supporting operational excellence by ensuring our core systems including ERP (SouthWare or NetSuite), EDI, WMS, and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Salesforce) are well-integrated, optimized, and aligned with business needs.

The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration skills, and business acumen to maintain system integrity, improve workflows, and support end-users across the organization.

Core Responsibilities

<>Enterprise Application Oversight</>

Administer and optimize ERP platforms (SouthWare, NetSuite, or similar).
Oversee integration of EDI, fulfillment systems, WMS, and e-commerce solutions.
Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability across the business.

<>Systems Integration & Performance Monitoring</>

Manage system integrations and maintain seamless data flow across platforms.
Troubleshoot and optimize SQL Server queries tied to application functionality.
Monitor dashboards, logs, and system health reports to preempt issues and downtime.

<>Support & Troubleshooting</>

Provide Level 2 and 3 support for enterprise software and resolve application-related issues.
Partner with the IT helpdesk to resolve escalations and improve user experience.
Gather user feedback and collaborate with departments to drive application improvements.

<>Enhancements & Automation</>

Identify opportunities for workflow automation and increased operational efficiency.
Write custom scripts (Python, SQL, HTML, JavaScript) to enhance systems and reporting tools.
Research and recommend new tools or technologies to enhance capabilities.

<>Ticketing & Issue Management</>

Manage application tickets via Jira, including bugs, enhancements, and system requests.
Ensure accurate prioritization, communication, and resolution of open items.

<>Documentation & Compliance</>

Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, integrations, and processes.
Uphold data security protocols and ensure systems meet compliance standards.

Qualifications

<>Required</>

5+ years of experience managing enterprise applications and ERP systems.
Hands-on experience with ERP platforms like SouthWare, NetSuite, or similar.
Familiarity with EDI, WMS, and e-commerce integrations (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce).
Strong SQL Server skills (query writing, optimization, troubleshooting).
Experience with scripting in HTML and JavaScript for light customization.
Proven track record of aligning IT systems with business goals.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Experience leading change management or ERP/software implementation projects.
Familiarity with process automation frameworks and continuous improvement methods.
Jira experience for issue tracking and team coordination.
