Position: OpenText Administrator
Location: Warren, NJ (Onsite/Hybrid)
Type: C2C / W2 Long Term Contract
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced OpenText Administrator with strong expertise in managing and supporting Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems in a regulated, insurance/reinsurance domain environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of OpenText applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain OpenText Content Server, Extended ECM, and related modules.
Manage user access, permissions, and security configurations.
Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with development teams for integrations with insurance and reinsurance business applications.
Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to support ECM requirements, workflows, and document management needs.
Ensure compliance with insurance industry regulations and internal governance policies.
Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Document system configurations, procedures, and technical changes.
Required Skills:
7+ years of experience as an OpenText Administrator or similar ECM admin role.
Hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server, Extended ECM, Archive Server, Directory Services, and related modules.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments and database administration (Oracle/SQL Server).
Experience integrating OpenText with enterprise applications (SAP, Salesforce, Guidewire, or similar).
Familiarity with insurance/reinsurance processes and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in fast-paced, regulated environments.
Preferred:
OpenText certifications (OTCS, xECM, or similar).
Prior experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Shell, or Python) for automation.
