job summary:

Our client in Washington, DC is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Configuration Specialist to support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of ServiceNow modules with a particular focus on GRC/IRM and ITSM capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and configuring new ServiceNow products, developing custom workflows, and ensuring seamless integration across business processes. This role requires a strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture and the ability to translate business needs into scalable platform solutions.

responsibilities:


  • Install and configure new ServiceNow modules, particularly GRC/IRM and ITSM
  • Develop and customize workflows, business rules, and UI policies
  • Perform system configuration and scripting to meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement ServiceNow solutions
  • Support ongoing improvements, upgrades, and enhancements to the ServiceNow platform
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation and ensure system compliance
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems as needed
  • Ensure platform security, role-based access, and data integrity
  • Follow best practices for ServiceNow development and delivery in an Agile environment


qualifications:


  • 3-5 years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience
  • Proven experience configuring GRC/IRM and ITSM modules
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - GRC preferred
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and ServiceNow scripting
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow best practices and governance
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
