Job Summary:
Client seeks a PL/SQL Developer with advanced expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and business intelligence development. The consultant will support the design and development of complex analytical models, data tools, and programs. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in interpreting business data requirements and delivering high-quality data solutions in domains such as Pension, Health Insurance, Customer Service, Finance, and Risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliverable 1: Ad Hoc Business Data Requests
- Fulfill approximately 70 80 monthly business data requests.
- Extract and validate data from the myCalPERS database and CalPERS data warehouse.
- Ensure timely delivery of data within a 10-day SLA.
- Handle data requests related to Public Records Act requests, court orders, audits, and public-facing reports such as the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
Deliverable 2: Data Mart Development
- Phase I Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the scope and design of data marts.
- Phase II Development: Build data models and ETL logic to populate and refresh data marts.
- Phase III Review and Acceptance: Validate data, complete QA, and integrate with existing ETL processes.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the design and development of analytical models, tools, or programs using Oracle technologies.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including complex query development.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including data visualization, solution design, and evaluation of alternatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Domain experience in at least one of the following areas: Pension, Health Insurance, Customer Service, Finance, or Risk.
