- Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager (GIS/IT Ops and M&A) to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY
This role requires a seasoned technical project manager with deep expertise in Agile methodologies to lead complex projects across cybersecurity, M&A integration, and IT operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Agile project management, information security, IT system integration during M&A, and IT infrastructure. This position needs a strategic leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, capable of driving technical projects to completion while guiding self-organizing teams and managing executive stakeholders in an adaptive environment.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), PSM I (Professional Scrum Master I), or other equivalent Agile Project Management certification is REQUIRED.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in technical project management.
- Minimum of five (5) years of direct experience managing projects in cybersecurity, M&A IT integration, and/or IT operations using Agile methodologies.
- Established history of delivering complex, cross-functional technical projects on time and within budget in an Agile setting.
- Proven experience with the M&A lifecycle, especially in integration planning and execution, with knowledge of applying Agile to these stages.
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of multiple cybersecurity domains (e.g., network security, endpoint security, identity and access management, incident response, vulnerability management, cloud security).
- Thorough understanding of IT infrastructure elements (networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms).
- PMP (Project Management Professional - especially if experienced with Agile at Scale), SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification, or similar.

Agile Project Leadership and Management- Serve as a champion for Agile principles, practices, and values within project teams.
- Lead the planning, execution, and closure of complex technical projects across cybersecurity, M&A integration, and IT operations domains, primarily utilizing Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work with product owners (or equivalent) to define, prioritize, and manage product backlogs and sprint backlogs ensuring clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Empower and support self-organizing, cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality increments iteratively.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and impediments escalating as necessary to remove blockers for the team.
- Manage project budgets and resource allocation within an Agile context ensuring value delivery within financial constraints.
- Foster transparent communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement within the team and processes through regular retrospectives and feedback loops.
- Manage and oversee cybersecurity projects, including but not limited to:
- Agile implementation of security controls (e.g., SIEM, EDR, IAM, DLP).
- Iterative security hardening initiatives.
- Managing backlog items for vulnerability management and penetration testing remediation.
- Agile development and deployment of security awareness training programs.
- Developing and iterating on incident response plans and running tabletop exercises.
- Managing compliance projects (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) using an Agile approach for control implementation and auditing.
- Collaborate with security architects, engineers, and analysts to ensure project alignment with security strategies and policies, integrating security by design.
- Understand and articulate cybersecurity risks and their potential impact on business operations to the team and stakeholders.
- Oversee projects related to IT infrastructure enhancements, upgrades, and migrations (e.g., cloud adoption, data center consolidation, network upgrades) using Agile principles for iterative delivery.
- Manage projects focused on improving IT service delivery, operational efficiency, and reliability, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Work closely with IT operations teams to ensure project outcomes are supportable, align with operational best practices, and facilitate smooth handover.
- Understand common IT operational challenges and how project initiatives can address them through iterative improvements.
- Lead the integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, adapting integration plans to an Agile execution model where feasible.
- Develop and execute detailed IT integration plans, covering network, infrastructure, applications, data, and security, breaking down large efforts into manageable sprints.
- Identify and remediate IT and cybersecurity risks associated with M&A targets, prioritizing remediation efforts.
- Coordinate the migration and consolidation of IT systems, services, and data using incremental approaches.
- Manage cross-functional teams (IT, HR, Finance, Legal) to ensure seamless integration, facilitating inter-team dependencies.
- Develop iterative cutover plans and minimize business disruption during transitions.
