Job Details
ASSYST is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support our local government customer based in Arlington, VA. The ServiceNow Developer to work with our lead developer and system administrator. This role involves configuring ServiceNow applications, creating and automating workflows, and integrating third-party systems to enhance our operational capabilities. This project-based assignment would include redesigning a customer-centric Service Catalog and integrating AI Search capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and configure ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS.
- Customize and configure out-of-the-box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows.
- Integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party systems/applications via APIs.
- Perform application maintenance, manage support for incidents related to ServiceNow applications, and contribute to ServiceNow software releases by delivering configuration tasks and features.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to capture business and user requirements and develop elegant solutions that meet those needs.
- Provide input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals.
- Prepare reports on analyses and system performance issues and determine performance enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is desired. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Service Now System Administration and/or Application Developer certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow data model and relationships.
- Significant experience in ServiceNow test, development, and production environments.
- Significant experience capturing user stories, working through a ServiceNow backlog, and delivering to meet user requirements.
- Experience with Configuration Management (CMDB), LDAP integration, and custom scripting.
- Minimum of three years experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, including the creation and/or customization of core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Service Catalog, and Hardware Asset Management.
- Significant experience developing workflows in Workflow Editor and Flow Designer.
- Proficient with custom web services, custom notifications, assessments, and custom applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, AWS Redshift).
- ITIL, ITSM, or other relevant certifications.
