Business Intelligence Lead #2516
Position Summary:
Our partner is scaling fast. They have got data from 13 ERPs, a growing Databricks lakehouse, and execs who are ready to take analytics seriously. What s missing? A hands-on BI lead to bring structure, strategy, and sanity to their analytics function. You ll work directly with the Director of Data & Analytics (who s technical, sharp, and building a modern team). Your mission will be to build and guide a BI team that translates raw pipeline data into clean, business-ready models and self-serve tools using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. You ll shape reporting products across commercial, supply chain, ops, and finance plus influence how we evolve toward AI/ML as we go. Experience and Education:
- 10+ years in BI, analytics, or data leadership roles.
- Experience leading teams of analysts and/or BI developers.
- Comfortable working in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations-heavy environments.
- Strong history of delivering data products tied to ERP (SAP strongly preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and data modeling best practices.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders and data engineering teams.
- Background in mid-to-large-scale data environments (cloud, lakehouse, or hybrid).

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a growing team of analysts and BI developers (onshore + offshore).
- Serve as the key connector between business teams and backend data engineering.
- Architect scalable, reusable Power BI reporting structures with strong semantic layers.
- Define and enforce best practices for dashboarding, modeling, and performance.
- Translate business requirements into prioritized BI development initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering on data lake modeling (Databricks) and pipelines.
- Drive self-serve analytics adoption across stakeholder groups.
- Support reporting needs across commercial, ops, supply chain, and finance.
- Work directly with leadership on performance metrics and forecasting tools.
- Integrate and validate data from SAP, Salesforce, and other enterprise systems.
- Advocate for Microsoft Fabric adoption as part of the BI modernization roadmap.
- Guide and QA new reporting products through launch and beyond.
- Influence how AI/ML integrates with BI products (as readiness evolves).
- Contribute to building a true BI product mindset within the team.
- Help scale a centralized, repeatable approach to enterprise analytics.
