Job Title: Product Manager - Display Advertising Platform


Overview


We are seeking a Product Manager to own and evolve a homegrown application that powers the integration, delivery, and optimization of desktop display advertising. This role will bridge business needs, engineering capabilities, and advertising operations to ensure the platform drives revenue, meets client expectations, and scales with business growth. This role is mainly remote, but require local candidates to either NYC or LA.



Key Responsibilities




  • Own the product lifecycle for the in-house desktop display ad integration platform, from strategy and roadmap development through delivery and ongoing optimization.




  • Partner with engineering, design, and ad operations teams to define product requirements, user stories, and success criteria.




  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to understand client needs and translate them into scalable ad product features.




  • Monitor ad performance, platform stability, and user experience; use insights to drive product improvements.




  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IAB, data privacy regulations, brand safety, etc.) in all ad products.




  • Develop and maintain detailed product documentation, release notes, and training resources for internal stakeholders.




  • Prioritize feature requests, bug fixes, and technical debt in collaboration with engineering leads.




  • Track and report on product KPIs (fill rates, latency, click-through rates, revenue contribution, etc.).




  • Stay current with digital advertising trends, competitor offerings, and ad-tech innovations to inform roadmap decisions.





Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus.




  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in digital advertising, ad-tech, or media.




  • Strong understanding of ad serving, programmatic ecosystems, and display ad formats.




  • Experience working with engineering teams on API integrations, SDKs, or platform development.




  • Proven ability to define product roadmaps, write clear requirements, and deliver on-time releases.




  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform product decisions.




  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.




  • Familiarity with desktop environments, browsers, and ad-blocking challenges.





Preferred Skills




  • Experience with ad servers (Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel, Xandr, etc.) or custom ad delivery platforms.




  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and browser technologies relevant to ad rendering.




  • Prior experience building or managing homegrown/internal tools.




  • Strong understanding of privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and their impact on digital advertising.
