At TEKsystems, we are seeking a skilled and visionary Principal System Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale technology solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical strategy and architecture for cross-functional, high-impact projects.
  • Make informed decisions on technology choices, balancing innovation with business needs.
  • Break down complex problems into scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with data architects to identify optimal data sources and integration strategies.
  • Evaluate vendor platforms and services, and manage their implementation.
  • Lead the design and development of application components and frameworks.
  • Create technical specifications and reusable assets using domain-specific design patterns.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, supporting development teams and resolving complex issues.
  • Define and enforce solution quality standards and development guidelines.
  • Lead code reviews, software inspections, and quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
  • Mentor other engineers.
  • Provide technical leadership to promote best practices and continuous learning.
  • Support career development and technical growth of team members.
  • Participate in agile planning and roadmap development.
  • Review and contribute to business requirements and solution planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business field.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems analysis, software architecture, or application development.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture standards and distributed systems.
  • Advanced programming skills and object-oriented design expertise.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in one or more areas:
  • Full-stack development such as Cloud-native microservices
  • Experience in healthcare domains such as health plan management, clinical integration, or interoperability.
  • Strong technical judgment and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence across teams and stakeholders.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
