Job Details
Our client is seeking a .NET Analyst with Linux/UNIX administration, SQL and Oracle who is bright, imaginative, and capable technologist specifically seeking a smaller and dynamic environment where their potential will be maximized through the challenging projects that the group acquires.
To be considered, candidates must already reside in California and be willing to commute to any one of the Berkeley, Oakland, Richmond or San Jose, California facilities.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform SQL Server/Oracle database administrative tasks in various SQL Server and Oracle database environments.
Work on Microsoft .NET technologies application development.
Maintain and support multiple projects and deadlines.
Document existing solutions and identify urgent fix/upgrade needs and address the same.
Help multiple teams of developers to design, develop and help with performance tuning and writing good SQL.
Expected to perform tasks including but not limited to writing SQL Queries, Stored procedures, ETLs, and perform ETL Management, .NET development work, and hands-on SQL Server / Oracle programming, Data architecture, Linux / UNIX programming.
AI experience would be a plus!
SKILLS:
Ability to complete all phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support.
Ability to design, develop and maintain small to large scale databases.
Excellent knowledge of Transact SQL, MS SQL and MySQL.
Excellent knowledge of writing Stored procedures, user/authentication management, performance tuning, linked servers, ETL, SSRS, SSIS.
Proven experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including, ASP.NET, ADO.NET.
Python development.
Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
Ability to communicate clearly with developers, business users and project managers.
Ability to construct user guides and documentation.
Project Management skills are a plus.
Creating and maintaining ETL jobs.
QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE:
7 to 10 years of actual experience in the workplace.
Databases: SQL Server, Oracle. DB2 will be a plus.
Experience with web application connections and configuration with databases.
Minimum 5 to 8 years in backend software design in SQL Server, Stored procedures, SQL/T-SQL.
User/authentication management, performance tuning, linked servers, ETL, SSRS, SSIS.
Development experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including ASP.NET, ADO.NET.
Languages: VB.NET, C#, SQL/T-SQL, JavaScript/DHTML, VBScript, HTML, XML.
ASP.NET MVC, VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, Python.
Windows, Linux with Shell scripting experience is desirable.
