Job Details

IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client is looking for a DevSecOps/Openshift (Kubernetes) Engineer for supporting large client projects.

Tasks
  • Contributes considerable business and technical knowledge to complex IT projects.
  • Provides leadership and direction, mentoring team members to drive organizational maturity.
  • Consult with development teams to ensure platform fit is aligned to the business application requirements.

NOTE: Local candidates and non-local candidates willing to relocate at their own expenses with no delays. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start and there is NO REMOTE ONLY option. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. We can accept H1b, , TN, and other valid work visas for IT. However, we cannot accept OPT or CPT visas at this time.

Skills Required:
  • 8+ years - Experience working on Kubernetes
  • 8+ years - Experience working on OpenShift
  • 8+ years - Experience in Linux shell scripting
  • 5+ years - Expert in application containerization management
  • 5+ years - Experience in DevSecOps practices, infrastructure, scripting/programming
  • Experience / understanding of APIs, micro-services development, containers and supporting platform technologies
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Designing and Implementing ADO Wiki, Work Item structures, Pipelines, ADO GIT repos/branches/Pull Requests, and related Standards and Processes.
  • Hands on experience in automating CI / CD needs on RedHat OpenShift / OCP, Linux, Windows, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience creating ADO Build and Deploy Pipelines to build Apps and container images and deploy using standard ADO tasks and for old and new Java and .Net Apps and integrating with Apache Tomcat, JBoss, SQL Server, Windows, Linux, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience producing Documents for Process and Automation.
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift V4.
  • Experience with troubleshooting application issues in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environment.
  • Experience in creating Build, Deployment, and other CRD config files for applications on OpenShift.
  • Experience in creating Docker and S2I images, Stateful sets and converting existing docker image to an S2I image and vice versa.
  • Experience /working knowledge on OpenShift/Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Custom Helm charts
  • Experience / knowledge on maintaining docker Image Repository like Quay
  • Experience and ability to creating docker files, images, and containers.
  • Experience / deep knowledge and experience with Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) version 8.X and higher.
  • Experience with elastic stack administration, performance and capacity management including Index curation/retention management.
  • Logstash and pipeline configuration and grok experience.
  • Experience / working knowledge of Elastic Beats Filebeat, Heartbeat.
  • Working Experience with SonarQube/Coverity/Black Duck and integrating into ADO Pipelines and Pull Request flows
  • Experience with Linux Scripting, .ksh , bash and Python.
  • Experience in understanding and debugging Java errors.
  • Experience / strong Knowledge of SSL, TCP/IP Networking, LDAP
