We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager who will be based in Jacksonville, Florida. You will be responsible for overseeing the IT operations for our 400 employees located across several sites in the United States. Your role will focus on ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT services while driving the continuous improvement of our technological environment.

Job Duties

  • IT Operations & User Support
  • Deliver high-quality, customer-focused technical support (onsite and remote) for hardware, software, network, and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure (servers, LAN/WAN, telephony, IT security) to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Systems Administration & Application Management
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and upkeep of Windows servers, virtualization (VMware), and Microsoft 365/Azure services.
  • Administer core business applications (Procore, BC, Simpro, etc.) and develop best practices for ongoing maintenance.
  • Networking & Security
  • Configure and optimize enterprise network infrastructure
  • Implement security best practices, including EDR solutions, security patching, and compliance with relevant frameworks.
  • Project Management & strategy
  • Analyze existing systems to identify risks and opportunities, creating and executing improvement plans.
  • Coordinate with global IT teams to align with corporate strategies, sharing technical expertise and best practices.
  • Business systems
  • Configure, develop, and support the SharePoint platform
  • Support the existing Power BI reporting and Microsoft Power Automate systems
  • Create and implement integration plans for the multiple operating systems in use
  • Provide technical support for our two custom client-facing website offerings (a parts website and a compliance software)
  • Update/create procedural manuals, operations guides, and test documentation.

Job Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Master s degree or relevant certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, Cybersecurity) are a plus.

Experience

  • At least 5 years managing Microsoft-based IT environments, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
  • Prefer experience in a leadership role, managing teams and vendors in mid-to-large organizations.
  • JavaScript experience would be helpful but is not required.
  • Experience in Business Central helpful but is not required.

Technical Proficiency

  • Windows Server Administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
  • Virtualization (ESX) and cloud management (Microsoft 365, Azure Entra ID).
  • Networking (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, VLANs, Wi-Fi APs, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Security (EDR, patch management, compliance frameworks).
  • Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and familiarity with AI-driven tools.
