About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Principal Systems Engineer to join a cutting-edge New Aircraft Design Program team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of military aviation by leading the design and development of next-generation aircraft systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of aerospace engineering principles, extensive experience in systems engineering, and a passion for advancing technology to achieve optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Lead systems engineering activities for advanced aircraft programs, including requirements management, system design, integration, and verification/validation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials, manufacturing) to ensure successful program execution from concept to production.
  • Drive baseline definition and maturation through trade studies and performance tracking.
  • Develop and refine system architectures, allocate functional requirements, and manage technical risks.
  • Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
  • 14+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering within aerospace or defense.
  • Advanced understanding of requirements management, functional decomposition, systems integration, and V&V principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary design and development teams.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB.
  • Advanced knowledge of MBSE methodologies and INCOSE standards.
  • Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Proven experience leading complex development programs and tracking Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs).
