Job Description:
Overview: Under general supervision, the Network Engineer will be responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and operation of USMA's local area network (LAN). This is a critical role tasked with managing network performance and ensuring the security of network infrastructure.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 1 to Tier 3 support for network infrastructure, including switching, routing, security, and related technologies.
Support virtualized or cloud platforms and virtual environments, addressing escalated support issues as they arise.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering and administration.
Must hold and maintain all required DoD8140 certifications for advanced-level work roles, must have at least a Security +.
CCNA or CCNP or CCIE
Proficient in network infrastructure technologies and best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in network environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with virtualized environments and cloud platforms is a plus.
Ability to analyze complex network issues and provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve network performance and security.
Experience in incident response, including the ability to identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents effectively and efficiently.
Ability to pass a background check.
