Location: Remote with up to 15%
  • Travel to the following locations: Charleston, SC; Norfolk, VA; San Diego, CA; St. Louis, MO

Clearance: Secret

What will you be doing?

This position will be focused on supporting the design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation of both hardware and software technologies in support of the US Navy's mission and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the design, development, test, and deployment of post installation solutions
  • Provide distant support for various issues with hardware/software across multiple different platforms/baselines
  • Ability to view current infrastructure and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide data analysis to assist in finding systemic issues across multiple different software platforms
  • Interview system administrators and identify deficiencies of currently fielded baselines and provide solutions to correct those deficiencies.
  • Maintain internal Lab environment to include offline patching, WSUS, Engineering Change Request (ECRs) so that the development of new solutions can be tested in a Production like environment.
  • Understanding of system of systems and interdependencies of complex hardware/software environments
  • Develop documentation as required to operationalize new or updated capabilities.

Qualifications
  • 12 + years of prior relevant experience. Equivalent Work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance needed to start (Can hold up to a TS/SCI).
  • Must be 8570 IAT II compliant (i.e., Security+ CE).
  • Very good understanding of datacenter architecture and components.
  • Strong scripting skills with PowerShell and Ansible.
  • Experience with STIGs and security controls.
  • Experienced with Linux, systems automation tools (Ansible), and systems architecture tools
  • Experienced with RedHat Satellite
  • Ability to read Visio drawings.
  • Good understanding of datacenter ports and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSH, NFS).
  • Experience in Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket)
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
