Software Architect
Remote
6+ month contract
Our client needs a Software Engineer and Architect to oversee optimizing and streamlining custom internal Corporate applications. The candidate should be comfortable assessing C#, Javascript, & SQL code bases with both on-premise and cloud components and designing roadmaps to reduce dependencies and increase supportability and resiliency.
Must Haves:
Proficiency in C#, Vue, Typescript, and SQL
Experience with infrastructure and deployment technologies such as Octopus, Docker, Okta, Grafana, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Proven experience in fullstack development and architecture.
Strong background in maintaining and enhancing complex applications.
Day-To-Day:
This individuals responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Assess code base, change management, and distribution/build models for key apps. Work through the identified backlog of bugs in the applications, resolving issues and improving the applications stability.
Develop a roadmap to streamline existing applications to reduce complexity and dependencies and increase supportability.
Partner with internal teams across security, infrastructure, and identity management to ensure applications are adhering to internal best practices.
Lead the initial maintenance, assessment, and cleanup of applications. Guide the team through the process of sunsetting outdated applications. Act as the senior architect to set the direction and bring in additional developer resources.
