Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is currently seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Developer to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in managing and enhancing SharePoint collaboration and documentation tools. The candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Division-level SharePoint sites and subsites, developing custom solutions for site architecture, workflows, and user permissions, as well as providing ongoing user support and training.

Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise for DHA's SharePoint collaboration and documentation tools, ensuring optimal usage and functionality.
  • Operate and maintain Division-level SharePoint sites and associated subsites by creating SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, columns, custom views, and content types.
  • Develop tracking dashboards for ticketing systems and reporting purposes, offering clear and actionable insights.
  • Design and manage group permission structures, site architecture, metadata, and site columns within SharePoint site collections.
  • Develop and implement migration plans for data, including migrating sites, lists, libraries, and content across SharePoint environments.
  • Provide guidance and training to groups and individuals on SharePoint functionality, best practices, and new features.
  • Share and promote information management best practices across the organization to enhance SharePoint utilization.
  • Collaborate with the enterprise team to test and provide feedback on SharePoint issues, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Offer daily assistance to users, helping with document check-ins, troubleshooting error messages, and providing site instructions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • 6+ years of experience in web development with a strong emphasis on SharePoint development.
  • Additional certifications in SharePoint or related technologies are highly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Hybrid work environment with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
  • Proficient in SharePoint development technologies, such as SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Designer
  • SharePoint Add-ins, SharePoint REST API, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with DHA or other government agency environments is a plus.
  • Proven experience in SharePoint administration and development.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint site architecture, workflows, and permissions management.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing data migration strategies for SharePoint.
  • Ability to develop custom dashboards for reporting and tracking purposes.
  • Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to convey complex SharePoint concepts to users at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it.
