One of our clients is urgently looking for a Sr. Datacenter Engineer.
Hourly: $35 - $40 per hour
Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Center Engineer with 7-10 years of experience, particularly in colocation and wholesale data center environments. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience and be actively engaged in managing data center operations.
Desired Qualifications/Experience
The candidate should possess expertise in the following areas:
- Contribute to the design, buildout, and expansion of enterprise data center environments, including power, cooling, networking, storage, and compute infrastructure.
- Understanding and hands-on experience with rack PDUs, new installations, upgrades, firmware updates, and IP configuration.
- Proficiency in data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software, including asset and power management.
- Deployment, installation, and configuration of servers, storage arrays, network hardware, and supporting infrastructure.
- Knowledge of data center capacity planning (power, space, cooling) to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Familiarity with hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, vendor coordination, and RMA processes.
