Senior ServiceNow Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our established ServiceNow team within a large, multi-subsidiary conglomerate. This is a hands-on, senior-level role focused on designing, developing, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions to support our complex business operations. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across diverse business units in a high-demand enterprise environment.
This is an on-site role in Houston, TX-candidates must be able to work on premises with our team daily.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Configuration: Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations, and custom modules aligned with enterprise needs.
Module Expertise: Lead enhancements and support for ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and other enterprise-level ServiceNow applications.
Complex Integrations: Architect and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub.
Platform Optimization: Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow instances, including scripting (Glide API, JavaScript, AngularJS) and UI customization.
Governance & Standards: Adhere to ServiceNow best practices, governance policies, and change management processes.
Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, process owners, and other IT teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality implementations.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior developers and administrators within the ServiceNow team.
Support & Troubleshooting: Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive problem management for ServiceNow-related issues.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Minimum 7+ years of ServiceNow development experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead developer role.
Proven experience in large, complex enterprise or multi-subsidiary environments.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS.
Strong experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Catalog Items.
Expertise in implementing and customizing ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and/or CSM modules.
Demonstrated experience with integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Server, JDBC, LDAP, SSO/SAML).
Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB design, data models, and discovery processes.
Certifications:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - Required
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) - Required
At least one advanced implementation certification (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD) - Required
Strong understanding of Agile development methodology and ITIL best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in multiple modules.
Experience in performance analytics and reporting within ServiceNow.
Background in enterprise architecture and platform governance.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for ServiceNow.
Prior experience working in a conglomerate or multi-subsidiary corporate structure.
