Description
We are looking for a dedicated IT Manager to oversee and optimize the technology operations of our organization in Glencoe, Illinois. This role requires a forward-thinking individual with strong attention to detail who can manage day-to-day IT functions, implement security protocols, and collaborate with departments to identify and address technology needs. The ideal candidate will ensure the organization's IT infrastructure aligns with best practices and supports long-term strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the IT department, including supervision of staff and contractors, infrastructure planning, and user communications.
Provide guidance and support to the Support and Network Engineer, assisting with IT troubleshooting as necessary.
Develop and maintain comprehensive plans for IT organization, security, and disaster recovery, ensuring regular testing and training.
Safeguard data through proactive backup strategies, network security measures, policy development, and user training.
Manage long-term technology improvement initiatives, including budgeting, asset procurement, and adherence to purchasing procedures.
Collaborate with department leaders to evaluate operational needs, implement technology solutions, and ensure user satisfaction.
Create and enforce IT policies and procedures that adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Maintain qualifications to support and access law enforcement technology systems.
Ensure up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure and produce statistical reports for decision-making purposes.
Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in evening meetings as required.
Requirements
Proficiency in Active Directory and backup technologies.
Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies and computer hardware.
Experience with configuration management and networking.
Familiarity with Office 365 and related tools.
Proven ability to develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse departments.
Demonstrated expertise in IT security protocols and disaster recovery planning.
Capability to manage IT budgets and procure technology assets in line with organizational policies.
