Responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and support of MDM global shared services organization for customer, vendor, and item domains. Provide strategic direction goals for the MDM group. Responsible for managing work in back-end transaction/data processing. Work closely with each domain and business unit to gain in-depth understanding of customer's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates to expertly lead project initiatives. Control the processing of data, source documents, graphics, text, control figures and other material to ensure the timely production and distribution of output. Accountable for effective service delivery as defined in MDMs service level agreements. Stabilize, implement, improve and expand processes and technology for master data. Participate in the design and development of systems and tools for creation, maintenance, structuring/organizing, storing, retrieving, analyzing, automating, and reporting data with Data COE colleagues. Partner with key stakeholders in finance, credit management, merchandising, and sales to ensure business requirements are satisfied.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to global colleagues and peers through collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers, and others; identifying, initiating, and managing projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results

  • Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies

  • Provide and support and manage the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day direction to Sysco business services (SBS) data services and master data management (MDM) staff including proactive guidance, troubleshooting support, and issue escalation.

  • Identify improvement opportunities, including but not limited to assessing business process and system inefficiencies

  • Serve as a liaison between Data Services, Operations, Sales, BT, and other key stakeholders to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement, implementations, and projects

  • Directs and supports the development of metrics to assess the performance of the SBS data services group relative to individual/team productivity and stakeholder expectations.

  • Supports recruiting, staffing, training, and onboarding processes as appropriate.

Qualifications

Education Required:

High School Degree

Education Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree with data, business, supply chain, or information systems related focus.

Experience Required:

7 years progressive related experience plus at least 3 years of management and/or project lead experience with responsibility for customer, vendor and/or material data integrity. Experience with centralized or shared services delivery model.

Experience Preferred:

Previous experience in a large organization is preferred
