Job Details

Piper Companies is seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to join a fast growing, highly reputable cyber security company with 100% remote work. The Microsoft 365 Engineer will primarily be responsible for implementing and scaling M365 service delivery models.

Responsibilities of the M365 Engineer:

Define and implement a scalable M365 service delivery models

Engineer the Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD, Intune, and Microsoft 365 Admin Center solution

Define management policies user accounts, licenses, groups, and permissions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Implement and maintain policies related to data loss prevention (DLP), mobile device management (MDM), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and conditional access.

Define and perform Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, patching, and service updates.

Define integration approach for customers with on-premises Active Directory and hybrid Exchange environments.

Define standard operating procedures and documentation related to system configuration, standard operating procedures, and change management.

Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to implement governance policies and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications of the M365 Engineer:
3+ years of IT, cyber, or program delivery experience

Experience supporting regulated industries (defense, federal, or critical infrastructure)

2+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 in a business environment.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure AD.

Familiarity with scripting for automation and administration tasks.

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience with identity management and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.

Program leadership and operational oversight in cybersecurity or managed services

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management

Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-171, CMMC)

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Familiarity with Azure native services for security and governance, and multi-cloud operations (AWS, Google Cloud Platform)

Compensation of the M365 Engineer:

Salary Range: *60 - 75/hr**
