About the Role:

iSphere is hiring a highly motivated Security Analyst for an on-going opportunity in Houston, Texas. This critical role is focused on monitoring, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity threats across on-premises and cloud environments. You ll work hands-on with modern security tools, contribute to incident response efforts, and help drive continuous improvement in enterprise IT security practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts using SIEM and other enterprise security tools.

• Conduct vulnerability scans across networks, applications, and cloud infrastructure to identify potential threats.

• Support timely patching efforts by tracking and validating security updates for critical systems and endpoints.

• Participate in incident response activities, including forensics and root cause analysis.

• Contribute to threat hunting initiatives and risk assessments for infrastructure and applications.

• Assist with the deployment and configuration of new security solutions and enhancements.

• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases.

• Collaborate across IT teams to ensure alignment of cybersecurity policies and operational practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related IT discipline.

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity forensics and threat analysis.

• Demonstrated experience working with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.

• Experience with Active Directory and/or Azure AD.

• Familiarity with DLP solutions, patch management, and vulnerability remediation processes.

• Proficiency with scripting, programming, or web development tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, JavaScript).

• Solid understanding of Microsoft on-premises and Azure cloud security.

• Knowledge of network security architecture and threat response workflows.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with managing firewalls and advanced network security tools.

• Familiarity with NAC (Network Access Control) technologies.

• Hands-on involvement with cybersecurity incident reporting and documentation best practices.

• Experience conducting risk assessments in enterprise or regulated environments.
