Job Details

Who we are looking for:
  • A Java developer with strong JEE, messaging, and database development experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in microservices architecture and Kubernetes are highly desirable.

  • The role is within Global Link, a division of State Street Global Market, a leader in electronic trading platforms for multiple asset classes.
  • Platforms are used by 19 of the top 20 largest asset managers for trade execution and post-trade settlement.
  • The team develops advanced electronic trading systems handling hundreds of billions of dollars in AUM.
  • Products are built on Java, Node.js, Oracle (server-side), and modern web technologies (front-end).
  • The product suite is expanding with new features and into new asset classes.
  • The team is undergoing a major re-architecture to adopt microservices and AWS/Kubernetes.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop new application features and enhance existing ones.
  • Create relevant documentation and diagrams.
  • Collaborate with other teams for deployment, testing, training, and production support.
  • Integrate with front-end development/services.
  • Ensure adherence to development, coding, privacy, and security standards.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of IT experience with core Java 11+ and JEE technologies (concurrency, JDBC, Spring, Hibernate/JPA).
  • Strong Object-Oriented design and code refactoring skills.
  • Knowledge of functional and reactive programming (FRP) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to write clean, quality code.
  • Experience with data modeling and database development (SQL, PL/SQL).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication skills and work ethics.
  • Passion for professional software development.


Salary Range:
$75,000 - $120,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
