Job Details
This is a remote position.
Please Note:
- This is a Remote position, but the client prefers candidates from the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
- Work Hours: Monday-Friday (40 hours a week).
- The candidate is open to attending occasional on-site sessions in New York City, if the client requires travel.
Position Summary:
The QA Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and compliance of the newly developed the client's enterprise budgeting and vendor application systems. This includes designing and executing test plans across functional, integration, regression, and accessibility layers, in collaborate with developers, BAs, and UX designers. The QA Analyst will also validate business workflows and contribute to user acceptance readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, wireframes, and process flows to develop test plans and cases
- Design, document, and execute manual and automated tests for web-based application components
- Perform end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, system, and interface testing
- Validate integration across legacy and modernized systems
- Ensure WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility compliance through accessibility testing tools and manual checks
- Log, track, and report bugs using Agile tools (e.g., Jira), and collaborate with developers for resolution
- Work closely with Business Analysts and UX/UI Designers to verify that features meet user requirements
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), assist stakeholders with test cases, and validate outcomes
- Prepare and maintain QA documentation, test results, defect logs, and quality metrics
- Provide quality risk assessments and recommend improvements based on testing outcomes
- Ensure that final deliverables meet the client's usability, compliance, and performance standards
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (preferred)
- 5?8 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and web application testing
- Experience in Agile development environments with multi-disciplinary teams
- Familiarity with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE, NVDA, JAWS)
- Solid understanding of SDLC, test planning, defect tracking, and UAT coordination
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect lifecycle
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Experience with DOE or public sector systems is a strong plus
