Job Description:
- In support of manufacturing, the material handler will receive raw materials, process manufacturing orders, weigh and dispense activities, and shipping of final drug substance.
- The role is focused on maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive environment throughout every stage so ensure strong experiences with and must be able to talk about what it means to have GMP practices in a Bio warehouse environment.
- Temp to Perm opportunity starting with a 6-month contract that can be extended up to 3 years while waiting for an opportunity to convert.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of prior cGMP Materials Management and warehouse experience
Details of Job:
- Receives GMP material using the Warehouse management system (WMS) following applicable procedures.
- Supports MFG by processing material orders.
- Performs weigh and dispense activities including but not limited to using the Syncade, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Glass wash activities etc. according to applicable procedures.
- Operates Powered Industrial Trucks, safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderly storage conditions in the warehouse and dispensary areas.
- Ensure all departmental applicable training and required GXP trainings are 100% complete.
- Assist in shipping of cGMP materials.
- Receive and process Drug Substance from MFG per procedures.
- Performs cycle counts following applicable procedures.
- Additional job duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Safety:
- Works with supervision to address safety issues and concerns.
- Reports unsafe acts to supervision, fostering a culture of safety.
- Wears appropriate PPE, completes safety orientation checklist, and completes all required safety training.
Physical Mobility Demands:
- Stand for four (4) hours, walk for three (3) hours, sit for three (3) hours, kneel or bend for one (1) hour, is required to perform upper body twisting motions for one half ( ) hour and climb steps for one half ( ) hour during the normal course of performing the essential duties of the position.
- Required to lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance for up to 100 feet, occasionally push/pull more than 100 pounds.
- Have sufficient physical dexterity to operate a telephone, computer/electronic equipment, hand tools, forklifts, order selectors. The incumbent manipulates small objects and performs activities or operates equipment that requires flexion, extension, or movement of the wrist; grasping; manipulation using hands and/or fingers; etc.
- Wear personal protective equipment, such as safety shoes, safety glasses and/or hearing protection.
