Job Title: Java Backend Developer
Location: West Chester, PA (Onsite Locals only)
W2 Only
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building APIs, integrating services, and working with modern frameworks, databases, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and related frameworks.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, QA engineers, and product managers.
- Develop and optimize RESTful or GraphQL APIs for scalability and performance.
- Work with Spring Boot / Spring Framework for microservices-based architecture.
- Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Ensure application security, data protection, and proper authentication/authorization.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Document technical designs, architecture, and APIs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3 8+ years of backend development experience using Java.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with RESTful APIs / Microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Exposure to GraphQL.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automation testing.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices.
