We are seeking a Conversation Designer to join our professional services team. Our designers are expected to perform these tasks
Be consultative design strategists who are the standard bearers for rigorous, data-driven, user-centric conversational design internally and with clients and prospects.
Evangelize and advocate for conversational user experience design. Develop metrics to prove the value of UX in delivering better outcomes for clients.
Design compelling vision clips, prototypes, and demos to immediately demonstrate excellence in conversational UX.
Work with sales engineering on prospects to identify and scope opportunities for new projects. Bolster existing requirements-gathering with a focus on end user needs, expectations, and contexts of use.
Work with account managers to optimize outcomes for existing clients through user research and user-centric analysis of metrics and seek opportunities to grow ARR by adding new functionality and capabilities to existing applications.

Requirements
2+ years of experience in conversation design
Superior spoken and written communication skills
Excellent judgment. Ability to make smart trade-offs to achieve goals within overall project constraints
Must be able to work independently and maintain alignment with mission and vision of the team
Proven ability to advocate for strong user-centric design principles with clients and project teams; ability to serve as the voice of the user in all project communications
Ability to identify opportunities for user research, and to plan, execute, and analyze studies; use research results to drive strategic optimizations to products and applications
Fluency in North American English
Ability to explain your design thinking and choices

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated experience designing voice and/or multi-modal applications.

Preferred qualifications:
2+ years of experience in designing speech-enabled interaction flows across a variety of usability contexts and device types.
Experience partnering with other designers, product managers, and engineers throughout a project lifecycle.
Experience as a systems thinker, considering user mental models and cross-platform designs.
Experience balancing user needs with technical constraints and business considerations.
Technical knowledge of the fundamentals of conversation (e.g., Cooperative Principle, turn-taking, cognitive load, pragmatics, prosody).
Technical knowledge of speech and language technologies (e.g., ASR, NLU, TTS).
