MSPSC Production Support Web Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a MSPSC Production Support Web Developer in Fairfax, VA.

Duties Include:
* Design, document, development, and implement/enhance highly scalable and secure Java Web Applications and Java Batch systems
* Work with Team Analysts and Developers to enhance the COB&R application to be compliant with the CMS tool and architecture guidelines
* Take accountability for the design and development of complex systems to ensure they meet the business requirements
* Architect, design, code, and implement simple and clean designs that provide for ease of maintenance
* Provides application development and technical support for customer websites
* Provides Technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluation and enhancements of existing systems
* Prepares functional specifications from which programs will be written, and then designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs
* Plans, schedules, and conducts systems tests, monitors test results, and takes appropriate corrective action
* May prepare technical user guides
* May provide guidance to less-experienced staff
* Participates in special projects as required

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
* 5-8 years of related experience in web software development
* 5+ years of object-oriented software development experience Knowledge of Java object design and patterns and ability to translate them into efficient code
* 5+ years developing Java applications - Spring Batch, Web applications, JSP/Servlets, EJB, JMS, Model-View-Controller APIs (JSF, Angular), Web Services, HTML, XML, and DHTML
* 5+ years of SQL experience
* Experience with Spring Batch and Spring Boot preferred
* Experience with Containerization Knowledge of Java objects design and patterns and the ability to translate them into efficient code
* Developing web and J2EE - Java, JSP/Servlets, EJB, JMS, Model View Controller APIs (Struts, JSF), Web Services, HTML, HTML5, XML and DHTML, jQuery
* Development experience on SQL database (Oracle or Teradata)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
