Job Description:
- The Enterprise Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and modern IT infrastructure solutions.
- This role requires a strong understanding of enterprise systems, cloud platforms, security frameworks, and database technologies.
- The architect will provide strategic guidance, ensure compliance, and lead initiatives to optimize performance, reliability, and operational efficiency across the organization.
- Industry Awareness & Technology Adoption: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluate and recommend new solutions to maintain a modern, competitive IT infrastructure. Apply architectural best practices for seamless integration with existing environments.
- Strategic Planning & Capacity Management: Develop short- and long-term IT architecture strategies. Lead capacity planning for storage, backup, disaster recovery, and data retention, ensuring scalability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Solution Design & Deployment: Architect and deploy reliable, secure, and cost-effective hardware and software solutions. Optimize performance while minimizing operational risks.
- Security & Compliance: Develop and implement comprehensive IT security policies and procedures. Ensure systems comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate security risks through audits and proactive measures.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Migration: Design and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS, Azure, and automation tools such as Ansible or Chef. Plan and execute migrations from legacy systems to cloud environments leveraging both PaaS and IaaS.
- Database & Big Data Expertise: Architect solutions for relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases, and big data platforms (Spark, Hadoop, open-source ecosystems). Ensure systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with developers, business analysts, security teams, and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure solutions meet business needs. Mentor junior architects and engineers, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise IT infrastructure, including hardware, hosting, and networking.
- Proven ability to develop and execute architecture strategies and capacity plans.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), automation tools (Ansible, Chef), and migration methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, as well as big data technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco, VMware) are highly desirable.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure deployments, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Exposure to automation, orchestration, and monitoring tools.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and drive organizational change.
