We are seeking an experienced Functional Planning & Supply Chain Consultant with deep expertise in manufacturing planning processes and end-to-end supply chain operations. This role will lead the design, configuration, and optimization of enterprise planning solutions that support demand and supply planning, production forecasting, cost modeling, inventory and capacity planning, workforce planning, and integrated Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Implementation
Lead the design and deployment of planning models for manufacturing and supply chain organizations, including:
Demand & supply planning
Production planning & scheduling
Cost forecasting & cost modeling
Inventory optimization & capacity planning
Workforce & labor forecasting
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Translate manufacturing KPIs (throughput, OEE, COGS, inventory turns, capacity utilization, material variances) into robust and scalable planning models.
Build driver-based cost structures incorporating:
Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Routing and standard operations
Labor and machine rates
Overhead absorption models
SKU-level product costing and profitability
Develop planning templates, dashboards, reporting views, and workflows that support integrated operational and financial planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Facilitate workshops with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, and FP&A teams to capture requirements and understand operational processes.
Partner with technical and business teams to integrate planning models with ERP, MES, WMS, or MRP/MPS systems.
Align planning processes with S&OP cycles to improve visibility across demand, production, supply, and cost impacts.
Required Qualifications
3 7+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain planning, or operational cost modeling.
Strong understanding of cost accounting, manufacturing finance, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
Experience designing or supporting planning processes such as:
Production scheduling
BOM-based costing
Inventory and safety stock planning
COGS and margin forecasting
Capacity modeling and labor planning
Ability to translate operational metrics into actionable planning and forecasting models.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex operational data sets.
