Testing Specialist must have Healthcare / Public Sector IT Systems experience

We are seeking a skilled Testing Specialist with a strong background in software quality assurance and validation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional testing, and performance testing of complex web-based systems, including public-facing applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and product owners, to ensure all solutions meet requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end software validation and testing activities across multiple environments.
• Write and maintain test cases, test plans, and test data for validating application features and integrations.
• Map business and functional requirements to comprehensive test scenarios and use cases.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders to validate functionality in real-world conditions.
• Execute various types of testing including:
• Functional Testing
• Regression Testing
• Integration Testing
• Interface Testing
• Downstream Data Validation
• Document test execution results and report findings to development teams and project managers.
• Log and track defects using tools like JIRA, and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Develop and manage test schedules and test calendars to align with project timelines.
• Use tools such as JMeter, Gatling, BlazeMeter, or similar for performance testing.
• Conduct API services testing using ReadyAPI or equivalent.
• Participate in peer reviews of test documentation, test cases, and execution results.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and end-users to ensure quality and functional conformance.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and coordination with client teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of public-facing systems.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in web application testing.
• Experience with defect management tools like JIRA or equivalent.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for basic front-end validation.
• Strong analytical and testing skills with keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a Java/Web application tester.
• Cross-browser testing, web services testing, data validation
• Mobile, data migration, data integrity, and data transformation testing
• SQL or PostgreSQL, with ability to write complex queries for backend validation
• Testing state-based health systems, health insurance marketplaces, or healthcare portals
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Iterative SDLCs.
• Hands-on use of performance testing tools like JMeter, BlazeMeter, etc.
• Exposure to QA best practices including version control, test automation concepts, and CI/CD pipelines.
