Job Details

Position Title: Documentum Administrator

Job Summary: As a Documentum Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Documentum Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system within our organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that Documentum meets the business needs for document management, collaboration, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and administer Documentum ECM software and related components, including Documentum Content Server, Webtop, D2, Documentum Administrator, and Documentum Compliance Manager.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for document management, workflow automation, version control, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Design and implement Documentum solutions to meet business needs, including configuring document libraries, workflows, access controls, and metadata schemas.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as software upgrades, patch installations, performance tuning, and system monitoring, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and IT support teams for Documentum-related issues and inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures for Documentum system administration and usage.
  • Conduct user training sessions and workshops to promote adoption and proficiency in Documentum software and best practices.
  • Stay informed about updates, new features, and industry trends in Documentum and ECM technology, and make recommendations for enhancements and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to ensure that Documentum systems meet regulatory requirements and security standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with Documentum ECM software, including installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Strong understanding of document management principles, workflows, and best practices.
  • Experience with Documentum development tools and technologies, such as DQL (Documentum Query Language), DFC (Documentum Foundation Classes), and DFS (Documentum Foundation Services).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience with other ECM systems, such as OpenText, SharePoint, or Alfresco, is a plus.
  • Documentum certification or training is desirable.
