Job Details

We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Project Manager to join our team at our Chicago, IL headquarters. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments including sourcing, quality, production, materials, sales, marketing, finance, and New Product Development teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of supply chain aspects for projects at all company locations. This position is crucial for the successful development of new products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop risk management plans to identify, analyze, monitor, and respond to project-related risks.
  • Communicate project status updates to the team and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a Master Data Management (MDM) Subject Matter Expert for Materials and have a general understanding of other cross-functional MDM areas.
  • Understand all cross-functional steps in the ER and NPD process.
  • Establish new parts in the system and collaborate with peers to set up physical locations.
  • Manage material responsibilities for engineering changes.
  • Develop and execute supply strategies for new products, including PFEP (Plan for Every Part).
  • Coordinate supply chain activities for projects to ensure goals are achieved within the designated timeframe.
  • Handle and oversee scrap transactions and processes, collaborating with auditors as needed on inventory procedures.
  • Update and maintain the material master database, input changes, additions, ABC codes, safety stocks, minimums, lot sizes, etc.
  • Analyze forecasts to determine safety stock, lot sizes, Kanban quantities, QR's, and minimums to optimize fill rates and minimize inventory based on data from various reports.
  • Act as an SAP Power User, providing guidance, developing procedures, and training on material movement and disposition within SAP.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of Project Management Experience
  • 5+ years of Inventory, Purchasing, and Production Control Experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP ERP Business System.
  • Demonstrated clear, professional, and respectful verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to foster team cohesiveness and work collaboratively across functions.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Logistics (APICS, ISM) certification preferred
  • Project Management (PMP, IPMA) certification preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project.
