Note: must work onsite in lab 5 days per week
Must have skills:- Residential Gateway (RG) testing experience- Understanding of VDSL or PON networks and ONTs- Understanding of TR-069, TR-098 protocols- Understanding of WAN, LAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and Firewalls- Working knowledge of an application layer protocol (IPV4, IPV6, Dual-Stack)- Working knowledge of SSH, telnet, SCP, and SFTP- Working knowledge of routers and switches, proficient with Wireshark and tcpdump- Working knowledge of ACS (Automatic Configuration Server) for remote management of end-user devices
- Hands-on experience on any one of these traffic generators (Spirent TestCenter, IXIA, Cobham TeraVM, Shenick diversifEye, Cyberflood, IPERv3)- Knowledge of scripting language (Python)- Linux applications for SoCs, Busy Box- Experience with WINDOWS Operating Systems
- basic security testing, IPChains, Firewall rules, scripting test cases, TR-181 Datamodel, TR98 Datamodel
Agile:- Develop test plans based on Epics, User Stories, and Requirements using Agile SAFe methodology- Ability to prioritize, complete and execute a test plan in an AGILE environment
Misc:- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Design

Day-to-Day Description:
An employer in Plano, TX is looking for an On-Site Test Engineer.Day-to-day responsibilities include working onsite in the HON test group. Duties include the integration and testing of home networking products in the Lightspeed solution. Working with a team of Test Engineers involved in all aspects of end-to-end solution validation of Lightspeed services (e.g., HSIA, cVoIP, Video). Testing activities include the development of a test plan, reviewing requirement documents, and documenting defects.- Setting policy on Element Management System (syntax, flows, Access Control List) and testing through end-to-end- An end-to-end production "like" solution in a lab with access gear and router rings- Automation of existing test cases currently being executed manually- Document all defects found during testing- Participation in document reviews including Test Plans, MOPs, Epics, and User Stories
