Job Details

Job Title: Jr. Configuration Specialist (Hardware Tester)
Job Posting #: 143288
Client: Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE)
Location: Providence, RI 100% onsite from Day 1
Duration: 6-month contract Extensions Possible
Work Week: 35 Hours

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure hardware components function properly.
  • Perform regular hardware tests including functionality, compatibility, and reliability.
  • Analyze and document test results, and track and verify defects.
  • Work closely with development and production teams to understand hardware specifications and design testing procedures.
  • Report on hardware usability, functionality, and defect issues.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and repairing hardware systems.
  • Ensure hardware compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay current on the latest hardware technology and testing tools.
  • Collaborate with team to improve testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a hardware tester or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware testing methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with different hardware components and systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field or
  • Any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
