We're hiring for a full time DevOps Engineer based in Phoenix, AZ. This is a direct hire opportunity with an AI-focused software company developing cutting-edge solutions for the energy sector. Their platforms are designed to optimize operations, safety, and compliance through advanced automation and machine learning. The environment includes a mix of on prem and cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure GovCloud, using Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Podman to manage deployments and automation.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3-8 years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Systems Administration
- Strong background with Linux systems and shell scripting (Bash)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Ansible)
- Proficiency with CI/CD automation
- Solid understanding of Docker or Podman for containerization
- Working knowledge of AWS or Azure
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and reason through technical challenges independently
- Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
- Familiarity with Python for automation or backend support
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
- Experience maintaining or enhancing existing Ansible playbooks and modules
- Familiarity with Helm and Kubernetes for deploying or testing containerized applications
- Exposure to systems architecture or designing deployment workflows for complex environments
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, load balancing, etc.)
- Experience working in AI, ML, or data-intensive environments
- Knowledge of Python-based backend systems
- Previous experience in regulated or high-security industries (e.g., government, energy, defense)
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with proactive process improvement
- Interest in collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, data, and product teams
- Eagerness to grow within a fast-moving, AI-driven organization
