Senior Logistics Analyst

As a Senior Logistics Analyst within the Global Deliver COE Team you will provide support in the development and maintenance of business facing reports. You will support end-to-end supply chain activities to meet cost, service, and quality objectives for Enterprise Logistics. You will drive improvements in analytics and be a forward thinker with logistics strategies. You will deliver reporting projects from start to completion with minimal supervision. This role requires strong leadership skills, analysis, communication, and stakeholder engagement to deliver expected results in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced environment. This position will work within a matrixed organization, reporting to the Logistics Enterprise Senior Manager.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
You will:
Strategic Carrier Management
o Manage relationships with MDT preferred carriers, analyze current business needs and carrier fit with logistics strategies.
o Conduct regular review of logistics financial results and provide input into financial forecasting process.
o Support RFP strategies and processes across multiple modes of transportation at a global level.
o Partner with Regional Transportation teams to manage carrier performance.

Project Management & Optimization
o Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
o Prepare, manage, and analyze transportation cost optimization projects while driving best practices in transportation for sourcing and global freight operations.
o Drive education of core stakeholders on key supply chain strategies and policies to achieve broad alignment across stakeholders.
o Utilize Lean methodologies to identify and eliminate waste in the value chain.
o Provide options and recommendations to the business to balance cost, service, and inventory objectives.
o Participate in contingency planning and risk management activities.
o Define and document best-in-class procedures and playbooks for global team across a variety of scopes.

Operational Network Relationship Management
o Manage relationships with Operational Network supply chain leaders, manufacturing sites, and partnership with DC operations.
o Drive cross functional collaboration on conformance to the freight policy, cost savings opportunities, and carrier utilization leveraging influence to drive process improvements and cost management.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Self-starter and able to establish relationships and work with remote teams of professionals and able to work independently to achieve objectives.
Knowledge and expertise regarding multiple modes of transportation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, PC, and analytical skills (MS Suite).
Ability to work collaboratively with cross department teams.
Discretion with confidential or sensitive information.
Demonstrates initiative, creativity, organizational ability and follow through.
Self-motivated, aptitude for learning, passionate about generating/implementing new ideas.
Capable of multitasking and working with changing priorities and deadlines.
Travel 10%.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation Management, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have
Previous roles in Global or Regional Transportation or Logistics Supply Chain
Experience implementing or supporting a TMS (Transportation Management System)
Excel power user (pivots, lookups, basic formulas, etc)
Data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Spotfire
Experience with imperfect data and data quality enhancements
Previous experience in operational optimization or supply chain project management
