Estimator - Physical Security Systems

LaSalle Network is hiring a Security Estimator for a growing security systems integrator based in the Chicago area. This is a key opportunity for someone with experience in low-voltage or physical security project estimating to contribute to a team focused on delivering high-quality, no-fluff security solutions. This role requires someone detail-oriented and methodical, who can interpret scopes of work and bill of materials to create accurate bids. The work is hands-on, rooted in straightforward spec-based systems with minimal client interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates and quotes based on provided bid specs, BOMs, and SOWs


• Review project documents and drawings to assess project scope and labor/material requirements


• Estimate camera counts, card readers, cabling, mounting, and device programming needs


• Utilize knowledge of Genetec, Avigilon, Exacq, LenelS2, Axis, HID, Hanwha, Bosch, or Motorola systems where applicable


• Collaborate with project teams to ensure bid accuracy and feasibility


• Maintain pricing databases and update internal templates

Requirements:

• Must reside in the Chicagoland area; regular in-office presence required as well as travel to clients in the Chicago area with some travel to Iowa


• Prior experience estimating for construction, cabling, or security system installations


• Familiarity with security hardware, cabling, and device setup preferred


• Ability to read and understand blueprints and bid documents


• Strong attention to detail and organized approach to work


• Entry-level candidates with relevant hands-on exposure encouraged to apply
