IT Manager (App Dev - Banking)

MDMS is recruiting for an IT Manager for an international bank based in Hoboken, NJ. You will work alongside the Head of IT to manage and support IT Teams, including: Application Development, Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, Strategy & Planning, Project Management, Resource Management, Vendor Management, and IT Finance. Please note that this is a hybrid role, based in Hoboken. Prior experience at a bank or financial firm is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced management control across all Technology teams and areas.
• Partner with IT and business teams, managers, and architecture groups to drive strategic planning and analysis, and potential adoption of emerging technologies.
• Provide general IT management across a broad set of IT domains.
• Provide portfolio planning and development, risk assessment, project planning, and technical oversight for activities across all IT areas.
• Lead IT-wide Continuous Improvement planning and program management.
• Develop and execute the IT Strategy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of IT experience with a strong knowledge base of core technology, security, and application development initiatives.
• Hands-on experience managing the development and support of mission-critical, distributed applications and staff.
• Experience integrating vendor solutions and products.
• Strong understanding across multiple technology stack environments, including Infrastructure, Cloud, Data, and Emerging Technologies.
• Strong understanding of IT Management: SDLC, Project Management, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Information Security, Risk Management, and Audit.
• Prior experience working in the banking sector is highly preferred.
