The Boeing Company is seeking a 2nd shift motivated collaborative associate or experienced Composites M&P (Materials and Processes) Engineer to join our Composite Materials Fabrication Site in Mesa, Arizona.

Position Responsibilities:
Work in a casual, professional environment with multi-disciplinary engineering teams who deliver cutting edge aerospace solutions

What you'll do
Apply chemistry, physics, and material science to develop and qualify composite materials and processing methods
Provide technical evaluation and material and process support to composite part fabrication
Perform root-cause investigations and implement corrective & preventive actions for material and process issues
Create and execute test plans, write reports and input to specifications for materials, tools, and processes
Qualify and approve equipment, materials and processes
Guide material testing in the Materials & Processes Laboratory
Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement
Travel to suppliers as needed
Integrate new technologies and promote standardization across product lines
Manage test/audit programs, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and incorporate EHS, LEAN, and Quality principles into your work
This role is full-time 2nd shift and is expected to be 100% onsite
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Required Skills:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. (And a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years' experience or a Master's degree (Level 2) or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years' experience or Master's and 3+ years (Level 3)
Willingness to work 2nd shift.
Preferred Skills:
1+ years working with composites, elastomers, and associated processing techniques (Level 2 or 3 applies based on years of experience)
Hands-on lab experience with polymer chemistry analytical techniques
Familiarity with materials such as epoxy, cyanate ester, bismaleimide, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, and adhesives
Experience with composite failure modes (structural and nonstructural) and failure analysis.
Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans
Comfortable reading engineering drawings and using Microsoft Office
Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings
Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
