JOB DUTIES:

Essential Functions:

  • Become familiar with systems and data structures, Solver data warehouse, and other reporting infrastructure through on-the-job training, working directly with the VP of Business Transformation and Project Management Office (VP of Business Transformation & PMO) and Reliant s IT & IT consulting firm (UIT).
  • Work with the Business divisions to understand needs, goals, and measurements, becoming proficient in gathering and maintaining a wide range of business process data including entering information into the existing databases and creating new processes and programs to accurately input and store critical data.
  • Collaborate with operational, financial, IT and leadership teams to create new reports, apply changes or fixes to the existing report catalog, include writing specific documentation for all new report design, change or fix.
  • Continuously improve and maintain user profiles set ups within Solver.
  • Make recommendations on the optimal number and type of Solver user licenses.
  • Perform enhancements and maintenance on the Solver Data Warehouse
  • Visualize data insights and communicate findings effectively to organizational stakeholders.
  • Interface with external consultants to achieve desired results, as necessary.
  • Draft, update, and maintain specifications and procedural documents. May also include working with data structures and metadata to ensure consistency, security, and accessibility.
  • Perform routine audits of data storage systems and databases, conducting tests and analyzing results before recommending new solutions or finding ways to enhance data management solutions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • A combination of a bachelor s degree in finance or accounting and computer science is preferred; demonstrated skills and expertise can be used as a stand-in for formal education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in related field, including but not limited to Business Administration, Data Science, Data Analytics, or similar.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing principles: schema design, normalized/de-normalized, ETL, SCDs, etc.
  • MSSQL management and T-SQL scripting capabilities
  • Be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of relational database design.
  • Proficient in Excel, including standard formula authoring using advanced techniques, functionality such as pivot tables, and import/export features.
  • The Solver Report Designer Level I and II certifications and the MS PL-300 certificate are requirements for this position. If not already acquired prior to employment, it must be obtained within 180 days of the first day of employment.
  • Have the ability to draft and update technical design documentation that contains all requisite details AND clarity for both a technical and functional resource to be able to understand.
  • Creating and maintaining data products for stakeholders with the ability to reconcile business desire with technological capabilities, cost/benefit analysis for an array of solutions, and ability to recommend and outline proposals for recommended solution pathways.
  • Financial and operational report design experience including financial statements, operational reports, KPI, static and real-time data visualization.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Power BI, Scribe, SSIS, SSRS, or other data migration or analytics platforms a plus
  • Familiarity or experience with the front or back-ends of ERP solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, NAV, or Business Central, SAP Business One, or Acumatica
  • Proven experience making decisions using cost-benefit analysis, providing multiple solution pathways to achieve given objectives outlining their specific benefits and costs, and ability to make clear and concise recommendations.
  • Experience working with the following verticals: Food preservation, CO2 or Dry Ice processing, distribution, transportation, agriculture and manufacturing CO2 or Dry Ice processing plants.
