CFD Research Corporation is adding a talented Modeling & Simulation Engineer to our current team. This individual will support customer site work in Huntsville, AL. In this role, the Modeling and Simulation Engineer will design and develop software to aid in the development, verification and validation of threat models such as weapon systems, radar, etc.

- Design, develop, and maintain M&S and analytic tools
- Develop and integrate software models into complex system-of-system simulation environments
- Develop and utilize tools to support radar and weapon system performance analysis relating to: detection, target discrimination, tracking, guidance, intercept, electronic attack/protection
- Advise hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems
- Analyze software program needs and assist in troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess an Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
- Minimum degree required is a Bachelor's in a STEM field or equivalent
- Five (5) plus years' experience performing software development in Windows and Linux environments using MATLAB, python and compiled languages such as C/C++, Java, and/or Fortran.
- Position requires strong analytic skills, and interest/experience in radar, missile, and/or directed energy weapon topics
- The candidate should be familiar with the fundamentals of distributed version control for software development.
