Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer, P.E.
Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana (100% On-site Relocation Required)
Duration: Full Time
Years of Experience: 5+ Yrs.
Required Hours/Week: 40hrs./Week
Must-Haves:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Active P.E. license (any U.S. state)
  • 5 -10+ years of geotechnical engineering & construction-materials testing experience
  • Proven ability to lead a technical team (engineers, geologists, technicians)
  • Experience writing proposals, managing client relationships, and preparing geotechnical reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate to Fort Wayne, Indiana
Nice-to-Haves:
  • P.E. license in IN, MI, OH, or IL
  • Regional experience in the Midwest
  • Background working with municipalities, contractors, architects, and excavators
  • Experience hiring and mentoring junior engineers

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of geotechnical engineers, geologists, and materials-testing professionals
  • Oversee proposal writing, client communication, and overall project delivery
  • Review lab and field data, prepare and approve technical reports
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive professional development within the team
  • Perform occasional field visits to evaluate job sites
  • Maintain high standards of technical accuracy and client satisfaction
  • Oversee daily logs, field activity reports, and quality-control procedures

  • Strong background in geotechnical analysis, reporting, and team leadership
  • Comfortable in a hands-on leadership role within a small but busy organization
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $120,000+ (commensurate with experience)
  • Additional Compensation: Bonus + Profit Sharing
